Too small, but well-made

Nice petticoat, but I really wish they'd had a bigger size. I felt squished in it and there was no room to move around in, so I decided to return it.
Otherwise, it's very good quality, it definitely elevates vintage-style fit-and-flare dresses. There were no scratchy parts of loose seams and it came nicely packaged. Hopefully they’ll soon offer dresses for plus size women.

Nice fit

I have several dresses and skirts that needed more fullness and this underskirt does everything it's supposed to do. It gives the right amount of puff and is very light. I don’t even feel like I had extra clothing on. Great value for the price, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Perfection

Perfect!!! exactly what I was looking for! could have gone with a size smaller size because you can adjust the waist. I bought it under a vintage dress and it looks just as on photos. It’s very comfy and has a big amount of fluff. The material is very soft and lightweight, great for summer.

The Inspiration

Without petticoats, skirts of the 1950s would not have the volume they were known for!
After the Second World War, petticoats were revived by Christian Dior in his full-skirted "New Look" of 1947 and tiered, ruffled, stiffened petticoats remained extremely popular during the 1950s and 1960s. They were usually made with rayon, cotton or taffeta and had detailing to the hem made with lace, ribbons, bows or eyelet cut-outs.
