Great dress, runs a bit small

I love this dress! It's a bit snug/smaller fit than I expected, and the lining is made of material without any stretch. That aside, it looks great and is not sheer or through. I can't wait to wear it!

The Inspiration

As the 1920s ended, the loose straight silhouette of women’s clothing was replaced with a long slender look that highlighted curves and standard waistlines. Day dresses often fell between the mid-calf and ankle. Fashion saw a profound influence from films and specifically Hollywood. Women’s styles were based on clothes seen on screen with stars like Vivien Leigh, Joan Crawford, or Katharine Hepburn.
